Why did you become an artist?

„Unlike those who came to art more by chance, this has always been my goal. Even when I didn't even know if I had the necessary talent, my career dream was clear. People around me were surprised by this decision, because I am actually a very rational person. They thought that something so unsteady could not possibly be good for me. But they are wrong. I paint every day and have my fixed procedures. My studies have also guided my career.”

What makes a painting special?

„I see my pictures as compositions. You have to add a certain amount of brush strokes and one more detail can often be too much. The picture is finished when it is in balance. This harmony is special, I guess.”

What are you working on right now?

„A few days ago I finished a picture, which was a rather big project and also cost me a lot of nerves. Now I need some mental distance. After that I want to devote myself more to animal motifs. I could also imagine that this would become a whole series. The nice thing is that there is so much in my immediate vicinity that I can be inspired by. The next idea comes of its own accord.”
