The work of the artist Linter is full of dynamism. In his expressive works, the nature lover, born in 1989, makes use of the most diverse stylistic elements, which he fully exhausts. Through impressionistic, single colour dots or energetic colour splashes, Linter skilfully creates plasticity and proves a sensitive feeling for the movement of things. The artist is currently continuing his education in Guangzhou.

What motivates you?

„What I like most about nature paintings is their lightness. For me, the impressionistic artworks of Seurat and Monet are relaxation for the eyes. My main motivation is to capture what the world looks like in a single moment. When you get close enough to an object, you can only see how every single element contributes to the movement of the whole. No hair is unmoved by a running cat or a storming bull. To depict this in painting in two dimensions is an exciting challenge for me. ”

How do you get inspired?

„By my curiosity. I can't sit still privately as a person either. I find it difficult to simply come to terms with a situation, I am always on the move and try to give my mind as little peace as necessary. One lives only once. Gathering new impressions works very well in my new hometown Guangzhou.”

What makes a painting special?

„A painting becomes something special when I, as an artist, succeed in breathing life into it. A loveless painting does not convey an atmosphere and hangs desolate on the wall. If you feel the motivation, creativity and love for art in every stroke of the brush, then a painting unfolds its extraordinary effect.”
