„I am inspired by the here and now as well as by my past and my future. Of course I don't know what the future will be like, but I like to imagine it. I used to paint almost only abstractly, but my mother always told me to capture the beauty of the things that are there. That's what I tried to do and captured many motifs from the city and nature. I would say that my style today is somewhere in the middle. On the other hand, it also gives me the opportunity to be inspired in many ways.”
If you weren't an artist, what would you have become?
„I used to always want to design fashion. My mother is a seamstress and is very skilled at it. However, I quickly realized that I couldn't be as creative about something like this as I wanted to be. The material of the clothes represents a limit. On the canvas, however, I can cross boundaries and dimensions.”
Which KunstLoft painting is your favorite?
„There are many great paintings, but I really like the works of Eva Wei. It is as if she takes the viewer to distant countries. I wonder if all these places really exist.”
