What are you working on at the moment?
„Well, it is not a secret that I almost exclusively deal with animal motifs. I have lately painted more childlike-naive motifs and would like to once more go into a more artistically demanding and sophisticated direction, similar to ‘Krabbengeklapper’. The many colourful details in that painting were a lot of fun. Maybe even a whole collection of such motifs will develop.”
Why did you become an artist?
„I initially only painted for my daughter. She always wanted animal motifs in her room and until today I stuck to that theme. And when my daughter went to school the paintings were well liked by her friends and their mothers. It encouraged me to work on my talent. I wanted to make many children happy with it. With time my style evolved into more abstract motifs but I also still like to paint for a child's’ bedroom.”
Which KunstLoft painting is your favourite?
„‘The Koi’ by Madeleine Yin. She also paints animals sometimes, although her style is more mature than mine. I, personally, really like it.”
