What are you currently working on?

„I am busy with some color studies. That is, I try to give each current nature motif a dominant color to see how it works. You can still learn something about color theory. I'm also working on new motifs for KunstLoft. That's all I'm telling you!”

Why did you become an artist?

„Many people in my immediate environment don't have much to live with. My family did the same, too. I was already glad that I could go to school! Even that is not self-evident. But that was the only way I got my scholarship through hard work and iron willpower, which for me was literally the door to another world. Even now I don't make a fortune, but I don't have to worry every month if I can pay the rent.”

Which KunstLoft painting is your favourite?

„Magic in the Treetop' by Damon Meng has everything that makes my heart beat faster: Natural elements on the one hand and great colours on the other. Everything harmonises so well! Cherry blossoms' is also very successful - you can see that one dominant colour is often enough.”
