Nothing gives the artist Aiden Dang as much pleasure as holding the smooth metal plate in his hands and imagining the finished motif. Born in China, the artist quickly realized that in order to be successful, his creativity must stand out from the crowd. He succeeds with metal pictures in 3D, on which he makes abstract motifs in bright colours become reality.

Why did you become an artist?

„Even as a young boy I knew that I couldn't be happy with a life at a desk. I must be able to develop my creativity freely and accompany my projects with my own eyes from start to finish. As an artist, I find every day precious because I know that other people enjoy my works of art.”

How do you get inspired?

„In order to be able to work creatively, I isolate myself from my familiar surroundings. For a few weeks I hide away in a strange place, let the new impressions have an effect on me and usually start making my artworks in the evening. For each collection I go to a different place in order to always find new sources of inspiration.”

What makes a 3D metal painting special?

„That cannot be said in general terms. Even for us artists it is impossible to see through why people like one motif and why another picture doesn't like it at all. Whoever finds out what detail is responsible for whether a metal picture in 3D fascinates or not is welcome to contact me!”
