What are you working on right now?
„Well, you can hardly call it work, but I recently moved again and am currently painting a painting from New York over the entire living room wall, a real mammoth project. But it's really fun, the main features are already finished. Now only the details and most of the colors are missing. Maybe I'll take it as a motif for a painting when it's done!”
If you weren't an artist, what would you have become?
„I've already done a lot, but if painting hadn't worked, I would probably have continued working as a photographer. Photography is a very impressive discipline. To catch the perfect moment to capture it in a photo gives me an incredible feeling today when I get to it again. But in the end it's nicer to be able to do something myself - I'm really happy to have used this opportunity.”
Which KunstLoft painting is your favorite?
„A clear favourite is 'Urban Life' by Oscar Chiu. I think the painting has something very calming about it. As it becomes brighter and brighter on the inside, it really captures its viewers and just won't let you go. That's exactly the kind of painting that triggers a real longing for life in the big city. Really, really beautiful!”
