An elegant middle-aged lady is behind the accurately symmetrical wall sculptures. Hoa Nguyen does not reveal how old she is, only that art and metal have long been her passions. Born and raised in Ha Noi, she was able to lead a comparatively carefree life as the child of a medium-sized family - her father was a toolsmith and also an artist. Order plays an important role in Hoa Nguyen's works. Rectangles and squares fit together strictly yet harmoniously to form the unique metal objects and sometimes form a massive ensemble, sometimes a filigree and feather-light piece. Hoa Nguyen has grown into art and, after years of persuasion, was able to take over her father's workshop. Tools are no longer made here. "I only create beautiful things here. Others can take care of useful things." She smiles mischievously and radiates a joy of life and passion for her work that seems almost tangible.
